Our Process

In the beginning…

Cara Interiors wants to create your perfect design so we’ll ask you millions of questions about your lifestyle, your budget, your goals & vision, your time constraints, and what you love & don’t love. We’ll do lots of listening & share some ideas too.

And then…

We will do a project scope outlining the scale of your project and the estimated service hours. Once this is approved, a contract & a deposit will be necessary to begin your dream.

Then, we begin our design process. But first…

We will inventory your existing furnishings, & take photographs and measurements of your space. From here,  we will create a conceptual design of the project & 3D renderings to help you visualize your new interiors. This is after taking into consideration functionality, building code requirements, & other factors of the project.

Now the fun begins…

This is the stage where we choose all the colors, fixtures, fabrics, & furniture for your new home or office. Following your approval of the selections,  Cara Interiors will also prepare a cost estimate. This will be presented to you for review, revision, & final approval. We take our clients’ budgets very seriously & consider it throughout each & every design element that we propose to you.

 

Next…

We will start the construction documents. Why? This is necessary for the trades. During the construction documentation phase, it is all about the details, details, & details. Contract documents consist of drawings & specifications so that the contractors/trades know exactly what the design intent is & can accurately price out the work that needs to be done. Cara Interiors will also help select the best contractors & issue purchase orders.

This is where the magic begins…

You will get to see the ideas come to life. We will be on site frequently to ensure that items are received in good condition & to oversee sub-contractors to double-check that everything is installed correctly with respect to the design intent. We will be there every step of the way to make sure that the project runs smoothly & surpasses your expectations.  After the construction, we will coordinate & manage the delivery & installation of furnishings, fixtures, & accessories.

Finally…
